It is at a place called \u00ab Bert \u00bb, located south of the Saint-Emilion appellation, that we discover the Ch\u00e2teau Grand du Bert.<\/p>\n
11 hectares of vines surround a pretty 15th century residence and its dovecote, both of which look unto the famous bell tower of the village of Saint-Emilion. Listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, the Saint-Emilion vineyard produces a wine that the English have nicknamed \u00ab the king of wines \u00bb. The Chateau has belonged for 7 generations to the Poitevin Lavigne family.<\/p>\n
